The iPad Pro (read my review of the 9.7" iPad Pro here) has been sort of a breath of fresh air in the iPad line up in 2016 and the Apple Pencil (and my Apple Pencil review here) along with the iPad Pro works tremendously well together. So its no surprise that Apple might put in more resources in the iPad Pro lineup. And fresh from the iPad Pro Rumor mill (via 9to5mac), we have some tidbits that Apple will release in Q2 of 2017, three new iPad models, of which two will the iPad Pro models and one just the regular, low end iPad (Air?).
I recently posted an iPad Pro 9.7" review and my impressions of it are highly positive and I am using it everyday and liking it more by the day. However, though I want to use my iPad Pro as my primary and only computer, mainly because I can use it to browse and read much easier than I can on my MacBook Pro, the limitations of iOS for my use case are too much to compromise.
Unlikely combination in the title! I know. But its true. Apple AirPods use an universal standard, Bluetooth and can work with any device that supports Bluetooth and hence they can be used with Android phones as well...
I have been a big fan of the Asphalt racing games on iOS for a while now. I have played more than three or four versions of this game on the iPhone and the iPad combined. I have always had a very pleasant experience with them and Asphalt 8 Airborne 2016 is no exception. However I have a few issues with Asphalt 8 that I did not experience with the previous versions. Read along for more details.
What I look for in a Notes App are two things. One, handwriting to text conversion and two, good notes management (like folders general organization and most importantly a good cloud back up system). I have tried quite a few Apps in this category, like Notability, Memo, Nebo and Notes Plus to name a few. I reviewed Notability a few years ago and with these few years, the App has only become much better with whatever it does. However the big thing that Notability is missing for my use case is handwriting to text conversion. So in this review / comparison, I'm only going to talk about the other three Apps, Memo, Nebo and Notes Plus.
After being delayed, Apple AirPods were finally available for sale a few days ago, though, they were immediately short on supply, at least online as delivery dates slipped to more than six weeks, very soon. The Apple AirPods suffered a lot of mockery when they were announced a few months ago due to their wierd design, that they basically looked like Apple's wired EarPods with the wires snipped off. However the initial reviews of the AirPods seem fairly positive so far.
We have had yet another instance of an Apple update bricking some of its devices. The most recent victim seems to be the Apple Watch, specifically the Apple Watch Series 2.
When I posted my iPad Pro review a couple of days ago, I had mentioned that I will post the Apple Pencil review soon and here it is. However odd this may sound, I think I bought the $600 plus iPad Pro for the $99 Apple pencil, if I am completely honest with myself. So how do I like it? Do my initial impressions still hold true? "More people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before" Well that's what Microsoft claims.
