Apple products resale value - Part 2

If you’re not sure you want to commit for the full two years, then the answer is cut and dry: Get an iPhone... No one wants to buy anything from you, gently used, unless it’s made by Apple... This isn’t opinion. It’s fact.

I posted an article sometime back on the impeccable resale values of Apple products in general and more specifically the iPhone's resale value and my reasoning was that Apple hardware does not go out of date as fast as other devices. Today at the heels of Apple releasing the new iPhone 5C & the iPhone 5S every site out there is talking about where and how to sell your old iPhone or any other smartphone to get the newly released iPhones. One such article was posted on Gizmodo and details many already well know facts.

Broken Apple phones actually keep pace with LG’s phones, and are only about $50 behind HTC... Not only do Apple products hold their value well, but the demand for them is extremely high... And not by a little. By a lot. It’s a factor of two...

Oh boy broken iPhones are almost as worthy as functional HTC phones! So much for proponents of the theory "hardware improvements are not worth it and have reached a peak".
