iPhone 7 will ditch the headphone jack... no it won't... wait for it... it will...

The title of this post is not a typo, rather it was deliberate. This see-saw is what has been happening for the last few months regarding the rumor, whether or not Apple will ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack on its next iPhone, the iPhone 7. The latest (sketchy, of course) rumor via Engadget suggests that the iPhone 7 will retain the head phone jack after all! It also talks about  a dual sim feature, but who cares about that part?

Rock Fix, a smartphone repair shop based in China’s Ganzhou, has recently been posting photos of alleged iPhone 7 components. One of these is apparently the 4.7-inch model’s Lightning cable assembly which, contrary to what we’ve been hearing before, still has a headphone jack attached to it.

But what I don't understand is that haven't thoroughly experienced very similar situations in the past, like the 30 pin connector to lightning port, Magsafe adapter changes, MacBook's one USB-C port, etc. We will always complain the heck out of the rumor and go crazy before such a thing happens. Then once Apple actually does release something in line with the rumor, we still manage to complain for some more time. And then eventually once we realize that we actually don't care that much about the missing feature/part that we once thought was integral to the experience of using that Apple product, we move on! I can't wait to get away from using those awful always tangled up ear pods, anyway...
