iPhone 7 rumors update

The iPhone 7 is becoming the most hated smartphone even before being released, thanks mainly due to the rumor about one feature or rather one missing feature. It is almost certain that the iPhone 7 will not have a headphone jack by now. Though no one exactly knows the reason for this decision by Apple, it has not stopped people from severely bashing Apple for this rumored decision. But other than this there are some actual additions/improvements that the iPhone 7 might see. Mark Gurman now with Bloomberg re-asserts that the iPhone 7 will not have a head phone jack but in addition to that he also talks about a couple of enhancements planned to it.

The standout features will be a dual-camera system on the larger iPhone, a re-engineered home button that responds to pressure with a vibrating sensation rather than a true physical click and the removal of the devices’ headphone jack, said the people, who didn’t want to be identified discussing unannounced features. Apple declined to comment.

The improvement in the camera system is obvious as people familiar with Apple knows how much importance Apple pays to setting up the iPhone as your main digital camera. The pressure sensitive home button makes a little less sense to me. I mean I understand the concept, particularly after the release of the pressure sensitive and the haptic feedback enabled trackpad of the new MacBook. But about its utility on the iPhone's home button, I am not sure. Nevertheless remember how muted the expectation around Apple's most recent quarterly earning's call was and how that helped its stock do better after the announcement of the results. Similarly the negativity surrounding the iPhone 7 is so great that I think its a good situation for Apple to be in as it gives it a chance to "easily" outshine the expectations, if the situation is handled well!
